Cancellation of Internet Contract

I have a Vodafone Cable Contract with tariff: Red Internet & Phone 200 Cable.

In a span of 6 months, I had to move on the connection using the moving service since I was forced to change apartments. The landlord wont allow me to use my Vodafone connection since I have the connection he has in place.

Therefore, there is no scope for the internet connection that I am paying for. Given the situation is not in my favor, I can not use this connection.

At your new address is our internet via cable not possible. So we can cancel your current contract prematurely.

I have already moved to the new apartment on 1st May 2019 and have a rental contract in hand.

I wrote to Stephan in a PM with the relevant details and appreciate if I can get help to cancel as soon as possible.

we terminate the contract with a period of 3 months. The period begins with the day of the removal.

Hi Thomas,

I have received the termination letter but I have to clarify one point since its not clear.

Do I need to send the equipment back to Vodafone? This is not clear to me and I want to make sure there are no actions outstanding at my end to make this happen.

Please let me know if there is something I need to do (eg: returning the device?) or will the contract self terminate on the date that has been mentioned .

Hi Thomas,

I have been charged for July a new rate for the connection whereas the connection has been cancelled since Vodafone cannot deliver the service at my address. Also I have already returned the equipment since there is no service available.

Therefore, its only fair that I am not charged excess since there is no position to use or for you to deliver a service according to my contract. Kindly help me with this since my usual bill is 19.99€ but this month charged 36.76€

Hi Bobfone,

the bill is correct. According to the Telecommunications Act, the contract ends 3 months after the move. This is with you the 01.08.2019. Until then the agreed basic fees are to be paid. Your promo price has ended on 06.07.19, therefore the monthly fee is now higher. Unfortunately we can't change anything.
