Leaving germany - Cancelling Kabel contract

Hi,

In a few weeks I will be leaving germany, so I wish to cancel my contract with Vodafone (Kabel).

To be able to cancel before the contract has ended, I read that I need to provide the abmeldung AND a renting contract in my country of destination. I already have the abmeldung but the thing is that I am going to be travelling for a while so I am unable to provide any kind of proof that I am going to be residing anywhere...

I would appreciate some help!

Okay thanks! So basically I simply need the abmeldung, and a renting contract is not required?

You can additionally send your new renting cotract (as a copy) to VF too.

I thank you for your answer, but I invite you to read my initial message again. The whole point of my question was that I am unable to provide any kind of renting contract.

But where did you read that you also need a renting contract?
If you have the "Abmeldebestätigung" (deregistration certificate) then that should be enough.

Weird, it looks like Vodafone has updated the relevant information and removed any mention of that...I checked 3 weeks ago. You can still find plenty of topics on this forum about people complaining that vodafone asked them to provide some kind of meldebescheinigung in their country of destination, or any kind of proof that they were indeed living abroad (this one for example: https://forum.vodafone.de/t5/Archiv-Internet-Telefon-TV-%C3%BCber/K%C3%BCndigung-beim-Umzug-ins-Ausland/td-p/1428404)

Anyway, if it's not featured on the website anymore, then I probably don't need it!
