Hi,

I am leaving Germany by the end of the month but I will not get a deregistration form until 7 days before leaving (current law).

Could you please tell me if I can cancel my contracts then straight away? I've got to pay 3 more months what sounds crazy I'm not going to be here to use it. And my bank account closed.

So how should I proceed with cancelation?

Hello Pederb6,

even if you leave Germany the contract won’t end with the date of your move. Due to German law the contract will end three months after the leaving date.

Why does the contract last 3 months after you left the country? German law or not, there must be reason, right?

I lived all over the world and never heard of something so idiotic Only in Germany

Does this stupid 3 month rule apply to cabel tv and internet too, or just mobile?
