I will soon leave Germany for work reasons,

I would like to know what is the procedure to cancel my contract in that case.

Hi p3rry,

the contract will be terminated with a period of 3 months, starting from the day of the move. When exactly do you move? We can then process the cancellation here.

I have a question, I have been told that, since I am moving abroad, the three months notification period starts from the communication of the cancellation, not from the day of moving.

Is it correct?

i'm sorry, that's not right. The period always starts with the day you move.

Hi Claudio,

the contract cannot be taken over by the new tenant. He can make his own contract at any time.
