And then you count all receivable networks except yours. Maybe they influence the reception.

Best regards Fred

Hi, can someone tell me how many times do I have to contact Vodafone to get a working internet ?
Have restored and restarted my router countless times, have it exchanged once nothing helps...
Anyone at Vodafone have heard that it’s 21 century and that they should change the routers that are at least 2-3 years old, not a decade old ?... ( of course normal company wouldn’t use even 2-3 year old routers but here we are speaking about Vodafone )
P.S how smart are the workers at Vodafone if they gave me an router that has 100mb connection ( Ethernet ) to my 400mb data plan ?....!!!!!!
Will someone fix this issue ?!!!

It seems like the connected Hardware doesn't or the connected cable doesn't. Did you replace that for a test?

There are over 40 WiFis in your direct neighbourhood. That's the reason why there is a bad connection with 2,4GHz. You should use 5GHz in this case.

Kind regards

Marco

Just checked all rooms through the whole apartment, and it’s nowhere close to 40 WiFis :D, I’m not living in a business center. Max I’ve found was in farthest room upper corner, 12 WiFis, normally it’s like 6-9 WiFis so that’s definitely not the problem, in my old apartment there were max 6 WiFis but the problem still persisted so that’s not the case, but if you still think I’m wrong then here’s the best thing, 2.4GHz works better than 5GHz ( it’s still awful but more stable ) and no , all of the 12 WiFis aren’t on 5GHz, and why does my 5 year old router work without any problems ?, yep it’s slow but stable ( the 5 year old Asus router I have )

About the 100mb Connection, I will check that other day, but I’m that case you might be right so sorry for that 🙂

Some WiFi’s with the same ID is like 30 WiFi’s with the same ID ? 😄 it’s nowhere close the 40 WiFi’s you’ve mentioned previously 🙂
So the router already was exchanged previously and nothing was fixed with that. Maybe the problem is that we have a bit to much devices in our household but even the cheapest peace of **** should be able to work with around 20 devices.
You don’t have a updated version of this router?, one that works and doesn’t have to be exchanged all the time ?... Because just wasting mine, you’re and other people time with exchange just to get the same problem again isn’t the best idea in my opinion...

There were 44 on the previous check. Your modem alone emits 4 WiFis

However when we did replace the modem in the past an the WiFi did not change to better quality, there is nothing we can do at this point. It is a standard-modem with regular performance. If you want a better WiFi you can use your own router instead of the given one or you can use a router behind the bridged cable-router as WiFi-accesspoint.

Kind regards

Marco

Hello fotoramic,

how you determine how many WLAN networks there are in the neighbourhood is quite simple 😉 You go to IPhone under Settings and then WLAN. And then you count all receivable networks except yours. Maybe they influence the reception.

Best regards Fred

The WiFi just went down again, firstly all devices that were connected to 5ghz and then after a hour or so the 2.4 ghz WiFi went down too. The signal was good in both modes, the intersect just wasn’t being delivered. And after a while the WiFi wasn’t even seeable as in all previous times 🙂
At the moment I was unable to find my WiFi’s I checked all neighbor WiFi’s and there was 5 WiFi’s 🙂 after around 15 mins when my WiFi was back up and working fine there was 7 WiFi’s 🙂

I made a task for an internal specialists department with all the information you gave us, maybe they have an idea what might be the source of that.

Kind regards

Claudia

Ok, and what does that mean to me ?, got some news, of course I’m paying for an unexisting internet because 40-50% of the time it’s down so that already nice but now I’ve noticed another thing, sometimes it’s super slow for coupe hours, I’ve made a Speedtest and the results were nice 5-6 Mbps and I’m paying 39.99 for that monthly, really ?!!!!!
