Router questions and issues

Hi VD community,

In the last month i started developing a problem with my router: the problem was that once every several days, the internet just dies and i have to restart the router to come back. This issue has accentuated more and more to the point where i have to do it daily now (i expect to do it more than once a day).

Based on this i have 2 questions:

1) Is it possible to buy my own router and use it instead of the one i have?

2) In case #1 isn't possible, what are my next steps?

Contract is red internet and phone cable 200

router is F@st 6450 from sagemcom.

City: Berlin
