      <description>&lt;P&gt;Just to make things clear:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If the router from the previous tenant is a rental device, you will NOT be able to use it anymore.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Rental devices cannot be re-used for another contract and have to be returned at the end of the contract period.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Even if the previous tenant "sold" you the router, he never was legally allowed to do so as he never legally owned the device.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Thus you will have to either rent a router from Vodafone for your contract -OR- you will have to get a retail router (e.g. FritzBoxes with specific item codes as stated in the &lt;A href="https://fritz.com/en/pages/faq-zur-freien-routerwahl#kabel-faq-3.1" target="_self"&gt;manufacturers retail information FAQ in subsection 3.1&lt;/A&gt;). Any previous rental devices like the Vodafone station, even if bought as used devices, cannot be registered for another contract than they were initially assigned to.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
