Terminating contract after moving overseas

Hello,

I moved out of Germany in the middle of June 2023 and I sent notice of cancellation together with a copy of the Abmeldebescheinigung, my understanding is that my contract should be terminated with three months notice on receipt of the Abmeldebescheinigung. However I received a letter that the contract termination date will be April 2024, not 21/09/2023 as I calculate.

I have had a lot of trouble trying to contact anyone (e.g. I can only find a chatbot through the Contact page) especially as I am not in Europe so cannot telephone.

What is the best way to resolve this?
