Termination of Cabel contract

Hello,

I wish to cancel contract number ***34. This contract is registered at my old address and when I moved to new residence, I took over from previous tenant and the new contract number is ***04. I would like to know if I can terminate the old contract without any obligation to pay anything. Since, there are two contracts running under me and I am only able to use ***04. Therefore, I want to terminate ***34.

Please let me know the procedure to do so as well.

Unfortunately, that was the wrong approach, the way you went about it. You should have simply ordered the transfer of your connection to the new address and everything would have been fine.

Now we have to check whether we can terminate the old contract early as a gesture of goodwill. Please use one of the contact channels in this thread. There we can take a closer look at your request.

Dear Stephen,

I understand. However, I got fooled by the new tenants in my previous accomodation. I was new to Germany and was not aware of rules and regulations. They told me its no problem if I leave the contract as they can take over. Later, they found a better deal and refused to take over mine. I sincerely apologize, however, I don't have the capacity to pay for both the contracts at the same time.
