Still charged for terminated contract

Dear all,

I have canceled my contract *** based on the cancellation process months ago and returned my router end of June but I am still being invoiced for the contract. Can you please check this issue?

If you cancelled your contract because of a move to an address, where the contractually agreed services cannot be granted, you have to pay for 3 additional months from the day you left -or- the day you notified Vodafone. Given you left Germany end of June and your notification was sent at the same time, then you'd have to pay for at least July, August and September in accordance to the telecommunications act.

If you just cancelled the contract but without any special right to prematurely cancel the contract, your contract will run until the end of the contractual term as agreed upon - no matter if you return rental devices earlier.

Have you also passed over any proof of relocation / deregistration?

Otherwise your cancellation will become active at the end of the contractual term, if you handed in your cancellation within the given notice period. If you were short on time with your cancellation request, then your contract will have already auto-extended for another year, thus the cancellation will become effective after that period also passed on.

Just sending back the router doesn't mean anything.

I have looked at it. The move was reported by you on August 31, 2021. According to the regulations in force at this time, the end of the contract is 29.11.2021. I'll send you a copy of the termination confirmation from May by e-mail. You will receive a corrected invoice for the period after 29.11.2021. However, this will take a few more days.

Hi Lars,

Thanks for checking. Originally I have canceled on myVodafone being the last day August 31st, after realizing that this means 31st August is a notice period and 3 months on top will be charged as penalties, I have called your call center to change this. Based on the agreement with your representative last month to pay was 31st August (June, July, Aug penalties). Attached is a proof of when the initial request was canceled. Can you see in the system with whom did i speak on that day as I was assured this is taken care of?

Hi Djordje1,

in the relocation notification from May, the relocation date was August 31, 2021. This date then counts for the calculation of the 3 months.
